auctiontalk   COOL! UNIVERSAL M-7000 CW RTTY TELETYPE BAUDOT DECODER   NEED THIS ITEM FAST?  I ship the SAME business day for Paypal payments Shipping via US MAIL or Fed Ex Ground   Description This listing is for a Universal M-7000 Communications TerminalComes with Monitor, all manuals, cables and everything you need to plug into your radio and start playing. (Note, if you don't need the included monitor, there is a good discount on shipping if I do not send it) This is working 100% and you will be playing on the same day you receive it.Complete with everything you need to hook up to your radio's audio output.  Simply plug into your speaker jack and tune into the ARRL bulletins which are broadcast daily and get the latest information regarding the happenings on amateur radio.  It does more than an adequate job on decoding CW at any speed and its exceptionally brilliant at copying RTTY (Baudot) as you can see in my video.  There isn't anything out there that copies as well down in the dirt like this unit when properly tuned.  This is a fantastic device that makes for easy decoding of the many digital modes on both Ham and Marine frequencies.  It does not require a computer of any sort.  Everything is built in to drive a video monitor as shown in my video.  Also built in is a scope output to drive any oscilloscope with X-Y Mode for perfect tuning of the mark and space tones.  Shown in the video but NOT INCLUDED is the Kenwood SM-220 scope.  I mainly put it in the video to demonstrate what it is like to have a scope to tune with.  Its not required and the Mark-Space LED's do a nice job of helping you tune in, but if you have a scope handy, its sure fun to use.  Most any decent oscilloscope will work.  Just look for the X-Y mode switch on the sweep time base (usually on the far counter-clock-wise position) and you are good to go.   It makes tuning in the signals a breeze and no guessing if you are on frequency.I have several of these terminals and need to let some go to make space.  This is by far the nicest one that I have and they all work well.  I'd like to see someone get some enjoyment from this decoder and use it daily as it is so handy.  Its like having a spare PC but it never locks up or needs to Reboot like some computers.  Its designed to do what it does and it does it extremely well. I mainly use this on RTTY to monitor what is going on and look for DX.  I also use it to pick up the bulletins from W1AW.As the coming solar cycle improves conditions for our bands, it should be pretty exciting to tune in and listen to other stations.  If you have a separate speaker output for your sub-receiver or if you have a second receiver, you can use this to find other RTTY stations during contests and swap VFO's and make the contact.  Its really slick. Another really interesting feature that is not found on any other decoder that I know of is diversity reception.  This means you can have 2 receivers supplying audio to both inputs on the M-7000.  It will select the better of the two signals and do it on the fly as in true diversity reception.  This is usually only found on high end Government equipment.  If you have a good beam and a beverage antenna, you could be copying 100% during periods of band fading.  It is also possible to get bulletins on two different bands since it is unlikely that both bands would fade in the same direction at the same time.  The US Military pays incredible money for this kind of technology. This terminal has VERSION 7 ROM which is highly desirable and it means it is the latest software built in to cover the most modes. This system will be packed for safe arrival to your QTH.  I pride myself with packing things the way I would like them packed if I bought them.  You will be happy I am sure!!GUARANTEED AS DESCRIBED OR YOUR MONEY BACK!
